1. ID The problem

  • Beginning all problem-solving

2. Brainstorm Solutions

  • Time method
  • Reward Self
  • Snack
  • Break up work
  • Moderate
  • Change the environment
  • Choose something exciting/helpful.
  • Don’t do it (not recommended, but always an option)
  • Some ideas are better than others, but all should be considered.

3. Pro / Con Analysis

  • Define the pros and cons of different options to help analyze and contrast.
  • Look at viability and quality.

4. Pick one

  • Possibly most important… pick an option

5. Try It

  • Know you are just “trying”, don’t have an expectation of it working perfectly on the first try

6. Evaluate

  • Be honest
  • If it’s not working, try something else…
  • Be open to re-stating the model
